1 WORLD FLIGHT CLUB -- Your personalized approach to flight training and rental in the Baltimore / Washington area

1World Flight Club provides the Baltimore-Washington Area with the first Socata based Flight Club. Our Club is a newly formed and based at Tipton Airport, KFME. Our organization exists to
1) provide access to economical aircraft rental for flight training and personal travel,
2) to promote diversity in aviation, in the broad sense of the term, this effort being aimed at various aspects of aviation not limited to pilots,
3) to encourage participation in aviation humanitarian programs and services, with the belief that a sense of purpose helps to maintain member enthusiasm in aviation, and helps to maintain a commitment to pilot proficiency, and
4) to provide pilots with a sense of community that supports, protects, and motivates its members to stay proficient pilots.

ADVANTAGES
1World Flight Club operates two Socata Aircraft: a 1990 Socata Tampico for VFR primary training and travel, and a Socata Tobago for IFR training and travel.   A primary advantage of joining a flight club is reasonable access to an aircraft for traveling on overnight or extended flights, which is generally a major attraction and motivation to the individual pilot, for getting there license.   However, unless you buy your own airplane this is often not an option for the many private pilots.  Flight school aircraft must be flown multiple times a day to break even, and can not afford to be flown a short time and left on a ramp idle for most of the day, let alone several days.  Flight clubs however structure their monthly dues to pay for the fixed costs associated with the aircraft, thus the only consideration in taking a plane for an extended period is equitably sharing the scheduling privileges of the aircraft between the membership.  Each member is allowed up to 6 reservations in the scheduling system at a time that may be up to 5 consecutive days in length.  One hour of flying time is requested per 24 hours reserved.

JOINING
1WFC is growing its membership.  To join, a new member must contribute a $750.00 share to the club.  This bond may be paid all at once or in installments, however, flight privileges at club rates will only be granted upon delivery of the full amount. Additionally, monthly dues are owed on the first of each month.

Monthly dues are currently $95 a month.   Flight hour reimbursement rates are revised quarterly depending on membership level and costs.   Monthly dues can be paid by electronic funds transfer.
